The Counsellors and Therapists
The counsellors and therapists offering their services as members of EICP are trained in the Transactional Analysis modality. TA is a flexible psychological system based on integrating theories of child development, communication and personal process.

A strength of TA is that it offers an insight to behaviour that can be successfully applied as a cognitive counselling process and it can provide an in-depth understanding of personality that may be applied as an effective relational therapy where the you and therapist work together to find resolution to the problem or situation you face.

Your sessions at EICP are confidential. Your therapist will explain the conditions surrounding confidentiality to you.

Members of EICP have all completed training to Counselling Diploma standard or higher and most have completed or are training for a psychotherapy qualification and an MSc. All EICP members belong to the Institute of Transactional Analysis (ITA), have professional indemnity insurance and abide by codes of practice and ethics. All the counsellors and psychotherapists at EICP take supervision at least monthly to explore their practice and any specific problems arising from their work.

Counsellors offering Low Cost Counselling work to similar ethical and practice standards with additional supervision in relation to their work in the scheme.
